BIBLE FOCUS - PSALM 51:16-17: For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
PRAYER: FATHER MY HEART DELIGHTS IN YOU. MY HEART IS YEARNING FOR YOU. FILL ME WITH YOUR TOUCH. FATHER BREAK AND REMOLD ME TO BE IN LINE WITH YOUR WILL. FATHER LET YOUR WORD BE ESTABLISHED IN MY THOUGHTS. FATHER HELP ME TO PLACE MY PRIORITIES RIGHT. FATHER MY HEART IS OPEN TO YOU, DO AS YOU WANT WITH ME IN JESUS NAME AMEN.
WORD : God is more interested in the heart sacrifice than the hand offering. Don't mistake request for fellowship. A longing in fellowship is an intentional thirst for God. Go beyond the meat and drink, to seeking God whole heartedly, yearn for the spiritual that keeps you filled with more of God. God is looking for that person who is longing for him and not just what he can give, and that's why he said seek ye first the kingdom of God and every other thing shall be added. Salvation is primary priority and every other thing is secondary. God is saying I can give you all these other things but the longing of your heart comes first. It goes beyond lip service but a heart cry. When you need God more than anything else, it shows a place of true brokenness.
TODAY'S TIP: A BETTER SACRIFICE TO GOD IS THAT OF A TOTALLY SURRENDERED HEART. WITH GOD THE HEART SACRIFICE COMES FIRST!
