BIBLE FOCUS- 1 Peter 5:2-3 KJVFeed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; [3] Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
PRAYER-FATHER MAKE ME A GOOD EXAMPLE OF YOUR KINGDOM. GIVE ME GRACE TO FEED THE FLOCK. FATHER I DO NOT SEEK MY OWN GLORY BUT THE GLORY OF GOD. I MOVE WITH THE RIGHT INTENTION. I WALK IN THE WAY AND WILL OF GOD. I GIVE MYSELF IN SERVICE WITH ALL MY HEART. NOTHING WILL FRUSTRATE GOD’S WILL FOR ME. I LIVE AN EXAMPLARY LIFE. I WILL NOT BE DRIVEN BY SELF AMBITION BUT A DESIRE TO WALK IN THE WILL OF GOD IN JESUS NAME, AMEN !
WORD- Whatever God has placed in your hands take care of it very diligently and when you do what you do, do it with all you heart . Not as one forced but as someone doing it for the sake of Christ. You do not do the things of God for eye service, you do it to please God. There are people that God has given you the privilege to come in contact with,get to know , and have given you the privilege to be a covering over them. God said take care of them, don’t let the people around you suffer when you have the privilege of being a blessing. Don’t do it out of eye service but out of love. Feed the flock! Being kind is a way of also revealing Christ to people. Our text today is very clear,you are not doing it so that you can be Lord over people, but so that you can be an example in all things revealing Jesus . Feed the flock of God among you, willingly, with ready mind, being an example. The gift, blessing and privilege that God had given you is for you to bless others with it and not to Lord over them.
TODAY’S WORD- DO ALL AS UNTO THE LORD, NOT IN EYE SERVICE!
