NUGGET -BE DISCERNING 

BIBLE FOCUS - 2 Chronicles 10:14-15 KJVAnd answered them after the advice of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add thereto: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. [15] So the king hearkened not unto the people: for the cause was of God, that the Lord might perform his word, which he spake by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

PRAYER - FATHER GIVE ME GODLY ACQUAINTANCES. SURROUND ME WITH THE TRUTH. GIVE ME PEOPLE WHO WILL FAVOUR MY RIGHTOUS COURSE. FATHER LET EVERY DECISION I MAKE ALIGN WITH YOU AND LET MY WAYS BE ORDERED BY YOU IN ALL I DO. GUIDE ME BY YOUR EYES AND LEAD ME IN THE WAY I SHOULD GO IN JESUS NAME, AMEN !

WORD-Advices are powerful, it can make you or mar you . The king was given two advices , one from the elders and two from the young men , now it wasn’t about the age of people giving the advice, but the type of advice that is was, that’s why as children of God we must be spiritually discerning of things you listen to. The advice that the king went with brought about discord and discouragement. Know the kind of people you surround yourself with because those are the people that influence your informed decisions. Always be certain that your decisions based on advices are not pushing you against the will of God.Counsels are good but the wrong  ones can mar you !
