NUGGET- VICTORY OVER TEMPTATION
BIBLE FOCUS- Luke 4:3-4 KJVAnd the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. [4] And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
PRAYER- FATHER I CHOOSE YOU OVER MY WEAKNESSES. HELP ME TO STAND FIRM. I PUSH IN FAITH AND NOT FEAR. MY HEART IS ENCOURAGED TO WAIT ON YOU. I CHOOSE THE PATH THAT LEADS TO LIFE. MY FAITH STANDS IN GOD . EVERYTHING THAT I AM I GIVE TO GOD. LORD LET MY LIFE BE A TESTIMONY OF WHO YOU ARE . HELP ME TO SAY NO AND ACT RIGHT. I RECEIVE GRACE TO OVERCOME TEMPTATION IN JESUS NAME, AMEN
WORD- Being a Christian is not an automatic antidote to avoiding temptation . It is a privilege and access through Christ that releases the grace to overcome temptation . If Jesus was tempted who are you not to be . What you will always pray for is grace to be able to overcome . Devil will tempt you with things most familiar to you. He will use your present need just as He did Jesus . How steadfast are you to say no and act right ?
TODAY’S WORD- SERVE GOD WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING, DON’T BE OVERLY CONFIDENT, RATHER ASK GOD FOR GRACE!
